Forty-nine strangers awaken in darkness to find themselves imprisoned in a dungeon of sinister design. All they have to aid them are the etchings on a pillar and the swords at their feet. As they work together to explore their surroundings they are confronted by adversaries and obstacles both brutal and bizarre, seemingly contrived by a nameless overseer. Using every resource they can find, the group must battle mystery and magic in order to escape their peril. But will any of them survive long enough to learn the truth behind their fate?
