Jane in Winter

A traditional tale in the tradition of E.Nesbitt and C.S Lewis, set in England in the 1950's, in which a young girl is chosen by the mysterious Parsifal family to save their daughter who is held captive under a lake by the evil Queen Ida. The heroine, Jane Mabry, ignored by her brother, sets out on her adventure after she is asked for water, earth, air and fire. She faces many perils and eventually emerges unscathed and triumphant, learning lessons about family and loyalty. The book would appeal to readers from the age of about eight upwards.
