The Grand-Staircase Escalante National Monument has two major drainages the Escalante and Paria Rivers that run for many miles with numerous tributaries that have carved a world of slot canyons. This book chronicles the author adventures in a journal style of his daily activities and how he went about finding these wonders of nature. The author made seven separate road trips during 2014 camping and hiking the Cedar Mesa, Comb Ridge, Escalante, Paria and upper Lake Powell area. Joe Berardi has written numerous hiking, photography and atlas books regarding southern Utah and northern Arizona. This book provides the process the author went through for 2014 to gather stories and learn hiking information for publishing books on southern Utah.
