Seeing Clearly--Principles, People and Purpose: First Steps for Leaders

Being a leader is truly a journey. One wonder’s if it is possible to make it, as there will always be challenges of which to be concerned. As one destination is obtained, a new one appears on the horizon. Like any journey, however, it is important for the traveler to clearly see the destination they pursue, the means of getting to that place, and the environment or media in which their journey occurs. The concept of Seeing Clearly begins with a search within the individual, establishing ethical principles at the core. Principles are the foundation upon which the aspects of people and purpose are combined within the organization. It is, therefore, essential that we take the time to consider the source for the principles we hold dear. Leaders influence people to accomplish a purpose, and together, principles, people and purpose must be in alignment for an organization to prosper, not only in the present, but also in the uncharted future.
