The Sagan Paradox

The visitor from space that mankind has long anticipated is finally here. Named Shiva, after the Hindu God, by a nervous Earth, it has been traveling in space since before the dinosaurs. Kali, a deep space probe, is launched to investigate with Professor Sterling Sprightly and his understudy Darius Kant Kali amongst a crew of scientific investigators. After getting entangled in Shiva's celestial machinations the crew of Kali manage to uncover only some of the reasons behind Shiva's visit, and that this is not the first time it has been here. But the final terrifying mystery remains as inscrutable as the aliens that constructed Shiva so long ago.
