CEO Business Objectives: Health, Wealth, and Success

Orientation. (CEOs get orientation, right?) Entrepreneurs starting up and/or running a company typically don’t get orientation. Wouldn’t it not be nice to have someone, “who has been there” let you pick their brain? Another entrepreneur you could go out to lunch, call up, and meet up for a chat? A CEO mentor that could advise a new entrepreneur so they can graduate from the school of “Hard Knocks” without getting too beat up? For every job I have ever had, there was some type of orientation but not for my job as an entrepreneur. In nursing, I precept, teach, and orient others to their jobs and career transitions. My thoughts were, why not do the same with CEOs? Why not share my CEO experience with other CEOs and entrepreneurs? Many entrepreneurs read all the business books but no one is really sharing how-to or mentoring entrepreneurs in how to think like a CEO. Doing it by the numbers does not always work for companies; a human factor is often missing and that is what I would like to change. Let me share some insights into the world of being a CEO.
