Agile Discussion Guide 3.2

This guide is a comprehensive introduction to basic Agile terminology and thinking. While we have had many customers ask us for a “checklist on Agile”, every team is different and no two teams practice Agile the same way. This guide serves as a blueprint, not a roadmap. We have defined and outlined the basic principles and practices of Agile. Each Agile practice falls into one of two categories: essential and advanced. Essential practices are defined as tasks that are crucial to adopting Agile. Advanced tasks, on the other hand, are not critical but greatly improve essential practices. Regardless of which practices you choose to adopt, we strongly suggest that this guide be used in the spirit of collaboration. As Agile is about constant improvement, it's very common to adopt the essential tasks first, and incorporate advanced tasks as you become more comfortable with Agile.
