Seneca's Dialogues—as his epistolary essays have traditionally been known— capture the full range of the Roman thinker’s philosophical interests, in particular Stoicism and his unique interpretation of it.

Students of Stoicism will appreciate the further exploration of ideas touched on in Seneca’s Letters From A Stoic: Epistulae Morales AD Lucilium: the Dialogues illustrate the deeply intertwined cosmological and moral arguments of ancient Rome’s chief philosophical alternative to Epicureanism and Skepticism.
