Dreams of becoming a poet seemed more and more out of reach, especially for a screwed up kid from Southie like Josh “Townie” Townsend. Depression, anxiety, and rotten luck are reasons enough for Josh to go through the motions living a life of quiet desperation. In his final year at college, Josh and his lifelong friends, Frankie and Morgie, choose to make a break from their pasts. But getting his poetry (and himself) out there may just require an unexpected dose of Southie – the very thing Josh was trying to escape – all while keeping his friendships intact.
