Description
Play In Any Key, Any Mode, Anywhere On The Fretboard With A Single Scale Shape!
Do you want to accelerate your mastery of the guitar?
Are you stuck "in the box" and want to branch out?
Do you want to add more variety and a more personal touch to your music?
Buy this book to UNLOCK the full fretboard using ONE full-octave scale shape and a new perspective on how you learn and view scales.
The main purpose of this book is to teach the theory required to improvise and play freely, build scales and understand why certain things sound good or bad in music. This doesn't necessarily require you to learn a single note name, although for the best results you should set about learning the notes of the fretboard in standard tuning (or whatever you tune to most if you don't use Standard E).
This book will teach you:
This book is the product of my own journey of learning to play the guitar. While trawling through information on scales and how to truly open up when playing guitar and improvising in particular, I found the information available to be confusing and often contradictory or downright misleading. Because of this, the core concepts of music appeared much more difficult to understand than I now know them to be. I found that basic principles are often blown out of proportion and overcomplicated in tuition material. Whether this be to bulk content up or to sound more intelligent, it does nothing for the reader, the student, the customer.
My approach uses a largely numerical system to teach the scales through intervals, a vital part of theory which should be learned regardless. It also incorporates knowledge on modes which allows you to take extremely valuable shortcuts when learning scale shapes, patterns and their core components. The beauty of learning through intervals and numerics is that the scales and concepts can be VERY easily transposed on the fretboard, allowing you to do a lot musically with only a little information.
