Advantages of outpatient anesthesia over inpatients anesthesia: 1. Outpatient surgery eliminates inpatient hospital admission, 2. reduces the amount of medication prescribed 3. It allows uses a doctor's time more efficiently. Knee arthroscopy for outpatients can safely be performed with general anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia, or peripheral nerve blocks.
