The Trial of a Judge

The story in this novel is based on written historical documents. These events did take place in a time of civil unrest. This compelling story is about a man who is put on trial for his life. The judge hearing the case, appointed by the state, wanted little or nothing to do with the trial, thinking is should be for someone of lesser stature to take care of not him. The defendant, although innocent of all charges, was put to death. One man could have saved him from execution...the judge on trial in this story. Years after the trial that ended in wrongful death the judge in the case was arrested; to be brought to trial for dereliction of duty and abuse of power. Testimony by those who witnessed the original trial have been brought together. They, fearing for their own safety and that of their families are allowed to testify under assumed names.
