Tan Tru: Expanded Edition

This is a new and expanded version of the original memoir of my experiences in the United States Army from 1967 through 1969. It chronicles events that unfolded during 1968 and early 1969 while serving as a young infantryman with Charlie Company, 2nd/60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam's Mekong Delta. It chronicles events in Vietnam and on the US home front and how they were affected by the aggressive military tactics of 1968. Most of all the book tells the true stories of courageous young soldiers engaged in mortal combat and the daily struggle to survive. This EXPANDED EDITION contains several added chapters with a look back at previously unchronicled events from the author's Vietnam tour of duty in addition to taking the reader through four months of post combat service to military separation.
