Young, strong, confident, and a bit too naive for the big city, Criminal Psychologist Dr. Sarah Parker is hired by the NYPD to help track down a notorious murderer. In one unexpected moment of being in the right place at the right time, she finds herself alone, face to face with the object of the hunt, heroically offering her companionship to the lonely man in exchange for the safety of his next victim. Sarah quickly beings to learn that there is more to Jacob than meets the eye. As their connection builds and she learns about his dark past, Sarah struggles with the conflict of remembering the danger of her situation in the midst of embracing her increasing feelings of compassion, possibly even love, for the man she is supposed to fear.
