Unmasking The Jezebel Spirit

Elijah was a man mightily used by God. This prophet blocked the heavens from releasing rain, called down fire from heaven, ran with supernatural speed, killed hundreds of false prophets, challenged the prevailing demonic force of his time, literally fathered hundreds of prophets, and ultimately released the rain. Having performed all of those great feats, he yet succumbed to spirits of depression, suicide, backsliding, and despair. Man/Woman of God, understand that there has been and will always be an ebb and flow to your ministry. There will be times when God will use you to move mountains and there will be times when mountains will move you. There will be times when you will pray strong prayers for others and times when you will need others to pray strong prayers for you. There will be times when you will feel on top of the world and times when you will feel as if the world is on top of you. This is the ebb and flow of ministry, the highs and lows, and the crashing of the waves against the shores of your life. In the midst of all of that, keep yourself encouraged. Find times of retreat. Find a place of refreshing in the Lord and STAY THERE until He releases you. From time to time I discern many leaders, especially on FB, who are posting out of their down seasons. They are depressed, hurt and wounded and they have literally announced it to the world to open themselves up for more attacks. Those are the not the times for you to post anything, but a time when you need to be in the presence of God being restored. Know your own spirit. Know when you are wounded, rejected, and in despair. Jesus stole away to be ministered to by the Holy Angels, we are no better than Him. Take the time you need after hard ministering to steal away and be restored, then once refreshed and released, come back and do what you unto the Glory of God.
