Italian Vocabulary Practice is a collection of 53 vocabulary sheets split into 20 broad topics, together with a further 53 practice worksheets and their associated answer keys. The topics are as follows:

Each of the vocabulary sheets presents the key vocabulary for the topic as an Italian-English word/expression list which is further subdivided into specific areas within the topic. Each vocabulary sheet also has a corresponding practice sheet which enables students to test their knowledge of the vocabulary through the following series of exercises and activities:

1. straight translation of vocabulary from Italian to English and vice versa;

2. finding the odd word or phrase in a sequence;

3. unjumbling words;

4. identifying words from Italian dictionary definitions;

5. separating “word snakes” into individual words and phrases;

6. indicating whether statements in Italian about words and phrases are true or false;

7. linking together split and jumbled words and phrases;

8. filling in missing vowels and consonants in words and phrases;

9. finding words in word searches;

10. solving crosswords;

11. identifying and fitting in words to a blank grid;

12. multiple choice translation;

13. linking together words and phrases which share a connection and then identifying the connection.

Each practice sheet has an answer key which is placed apart from it towards the end of the book.
