Practical Mysticism

Evelyn Underhill was an English Catholic writer best known for her books on Christian mysticism. Underhill was for a long time the most famous writer on the subject up until Aldous Huxley's book The Perennial Philosophy. Practical Mysticism is Underhill's most famous work. In the book Underhill describes her belief that the spiritual life is a part of human nature and therefore every human being has the capacity to be spiritual. The book was published in 1915 just after World War I began.
