Srimad Valmiki Ramayana: A Study in Brief

The poem Srimad Ramayana in Sanskrit is composed by the first and foremost poet Valmiki. This monumental work is about the role played by the Divine Couple Sri Rama and Sita , who descended to put down the evil represented by Ravana and uphold the good represented by bhagavatas. While explaining the Vedas, the poem teaches surrender to Almighty as the only means for salvation. This religious doctrine has been highlighted by Vaishnava Acharyas - Ramanuja, Vedanta Desika to name only a few.
