In His Own Words: The Beliefs and Teachings of Jesus

Many people are unaware that Jesus was quoted in nearly one hundred different religious texts. Only seven of these texts were included in the Bible. What about the other texts?

In His Own Words is a collection of Jesus' teachings from over Eighty Biblical and non-Biblical texts. Two-thirds of the nearly 1200 quotes are from non-Biblical sources not found in general collections, including early Christian works, Gnosticism, Mormonism, and Islam.

In His Own Words is divided into fifty-one thematic chapters or sections, consisting mostly of single sentence quotations. There is also a short Foreword and, at the end, a Glossary of Sources, and Index by Source, and a Key Word and Topical Index. Most importantly, In His Own Words illustrates that the sayings of Jesus are as relevant today as 2,000 years ago.
