Carl G. Tanksley: From Fisherman to Fisher of Men

In the life of every Christian is a call of service. From Fisherman to Fisher of Men is the story of Carl G. Tanksley, a young man who would quite literally leave his fishing boat and follow the call of the Master. Born to a poor family in Florida, Carl endured many experiences that should have ended his life or at least his mobility. But God had a bigger plan for this young man; and on the eve of World War II, he enlisted in the Navy with a clean bill of health. Following his discharge from the Navy at the end of the war, Carl made his living by fishing in his home state of Florida. After meeting an attractive young woman named Lottie, Carl decided to devote his life to ministry and left his career as a fisherman. Together Carl and his new bride followed the call of ministry in Literature Evangelism and later Ministry. A self-sacrificing man with a wonderful sense of humor, Carl Tanksley lived a life of service to his beloved Master. Included in this book are numerous pictures and tributes to this loved man.
