Four Square: The Personal Writing Coach for Grades 1-3

This book in the popular Four Square series provides a personal coach for students to help them write. Included are 13 themed units designed to meet the interests and abilities of writers in grades 1-3. Each unit brings the prewriting through art, word association, questions, poetry, planning and composition of prose.

The exercises will help students learn to be less fearful of writing assignments and actually make them fun! The topics are personal ones young writers will enjoy: themselves, their families and friends, their favorite places to go and things to do, etc.
