Chess Garden

In Ohio in 1900, the wife of Dr Uyterhoeven receives some extraordinary letters from her elderly husband describing a fantastic country inhabited by warring chess pieces, dominoes and dice. Gradually, a story unfolds of his earlier life, and the origins of his extraordinary philosophy.
