Writings on the Spiritual Life: Works of St. Bonaventure, Volume X

This book contains selected spiritual and theological texts by St. Bonaventure. The texts includes are: The Threefold Way, On the Perfection of Life, On Governing the Soul, The Soliloquium: A Dialogue on the Four Spiritual Exercises. An appendix includes four additional texts that provide some important and helpful clarifications on aspects of the Seraphic Doctor's theology of the spiritual life found in this book. It includes: the prologue to the Commentary on Book II of the Sentences of Peter Lombard and three short sermons: On the Way of Life, On Holy Saturday, and On the Monday after Palm Sunday.
