Space (21st Century Science)

"21st-century science" is a buzz phrase in curriculum development, particularly at KS4/GCSE level. This series, which is also appropriate for KS3, looks at some of the new directions science is taking, at the interface between science and technology, and also discusses the social repercussions involved. Space covers everything from new types of re-usable space vehicle to the search for intelligent extra-terrestrial life. Telecommunications looks at the newest mobile phone technology, the Internet and many other aspects of electronic communications now and in the future. The books are illustrated with approximately 2 photographs per double-page spread plus artworks and diagrams.
