Breast Imaging (Breast Disease, 13)

The title of this work, "Breast Imaging", reflects the intellectual expansion of the field that previously was limited to standard mammography. NMR, Sestimibi scanning, EPR, and optical imaging are all adding to the richness of approaches directed at the early detection of breast cancer. These approaches put us in the enviable position of asking which technologies are the most specific (not just the most sensitive), and which are the most cost effective (and not simply most useful). This book, edited by Dr Etta Pisano, discusses the key questions and discoveries in breast imaging through a series of essays.
