Updated to include Afghanistan's latest events, it provides a narrative of the country's history from pre-historic times to the present. It testifies to the infighting among local rulers and warlords, the impact of numerous foreign invasions on the land, as well as the changes that resulted from outside influences. Such incursions continue until this day.
