Moynihan's sly and engaging collection of stories, tweaking the "Lonely Planet" mindset, and the "one-week" expert mentality so many guides provide, received little attention over a decade ago. We at Silk Pagoda believe the author's unique, multi-narrative account of sex, drugs and deportation, written entirely in the confines of a travel guide, deserves another look.
