Sania developed a habit of willful dreaming early on. It helped her cope with serial displacement. Confronted with events and circumstances she'd not planned to experience, she'd simply walk her mind away to a new safe place. The one grounding connection in her gypsy life had been her husband, Paul. When heart failure strikes Paul, Sania's habit-driven reflex is to distance herself from her feelings. But this time, she cannot run. She is frozen in place. Running fast before her dazed eyes is her past. Somewhere in that disorganized murmoir is the moment that defined her as a flake.
