The Remnant and the Coming Kingdom (Commentary on the Book of Matthew)

As the opening of the New Testament, the book of Matthew is a vitally important and often misunderstood book. John the Baptist had prepared the way for Israel's Messiah. The people were told that the King was among them, and His Kingdom was at hand. But a religious leadership steeped in tradition and vanity had hardened their hearts toward their King. A believing remnant emerged, loyal to the Lord and accepting of the truth, but desperately in need of instruction. Before the Millennial rest of the Kingdom will come much tribulation and persecution. How is the believing remnant, that "little flock," to react? Who are they to trust? What do they believe in the face of the opposition and lies they will face? Through the book of Matthew the Lord will answer these questions.
