Old Dominion: A Story of War in Colonial Virginia

Fleming Cobb, a frontiersman and Indian spy, grew up on his father’s plantation along the banks of the Hardware River in Albemarle County. The Indian skills he learned from his adopted uncle Segoyewatha would serve him well. Whenever Fleming’s father Thomas would visit with his good friend George Washington, the conversation would soon turn to The Seven Years’ War. Fleming longed to seek his own glory and be sanctified on the field of battle. His opportunity was sure to come because the colonies were on the verge of war with their motherland England. However, Fleming’s father forbade him to join Washington and the Continental Army. Fleming knew if he disobeyed his father’s demands, he would never see his beloved home, Springhill Plantation, again. However, a tragic turn of events forced his father’s hand and Fleming had to use his skills to help free a nation from tyranny and settle the frontier.
