A Dork's Tale

I spun around to see who just yelled and saw the large man running at me like a barbarian warrior. The first thing that I thought was Thank goodness it isn’t the woman coming at me. The second thing to cross my mind was that my martial arts training would have been a good thing right about then. It was just my luck that all I could remember at the moment was the Lamaze training that we went through when Cindy was pregnant with Leah. I began my breathing exercises… Twenty-two years in marriage is definitely the “School of Hard Knocks.” The tuition is pride. The lesson is humility. The degree is Dork (not to be compared to doctorate). The reward is priceless. Lou’s zany antics never seem to end. Like any predicament, Lou’s experiences contain valuable lessons.
