Timesha was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1985. Raised in Broadview, IL, she grew up inside a one-bedroom apartment where seven other people lived. In 1997, she moved to Winona, Minnesota, with "Egg" and her two younger brothers. And now, twelve years later, that trip has forever changed the lives of both Timesha and her brothers! Throughout this book, you will find that by the age of only nineteen, Timesha had experienced so many of the unthinkable events in life that most people hopefully won't have to ever experience at all! Some of the struggles that she has had to endure have included: countless years of physical and emotional abuse, being exposed to drugs at the tender age of four, being raped at the age of eleven, being raised by a drug addict/alcoholic for the first fourteen years of her life, being torn apart from her brothers, the only family that she had left due to the fact that she was "too much of a reminder of their past," and even an attempted suicide!
