Shades of Gray

Rod, Eric and Cab were the rock band, Shades of Gray. The choices they made impacted each other's lives, sometimes unknowing, sometimes deliberately. Cab was there for Rod through the joys and losses of his life. Eric only thought about himself and blamed everyone else, especially Rod, for his failures and disappointments, and the loss of the woman he claimed he loved. Rod had it all -- career, wife, son, house on the beach, and his music -- but lies and secrets and the vindictiveness of a supposed friend took so much away. In his pain, he considered death an escape. When a second chance at love offered him a new kind of life, would he have the courage and faith to reach out and take it before death tried one last time to claim him? Donna Noblick is a native resident of Columbus, Ohio. Her ancestors inherited a large portion of land after the Civil War, and the road that was once the southern border of that property still retains her ancestor's name. On a beach near downtown Los Angeles, God made Himself real to her as she stared at the vast ocean that stretched out before her. When she returned to Ohio, she realized her Savior, Jesus Christ, was the same God who revealed Himself to her out west. California and ocean beaches, the predominant settings for Shades of Gray, have a special place in her heart because it was there she became aware that the God of the Bible was indeed a real Person.
