Skin Hunger: A Tale of Aging and Love

“Can an aging architect feel passion?” Tony Timore asks. Approaching sixty and losing one body part after another, Tony has snored his way into a bedroom separate from the anxious, light-sleeping Cecily. Diagnosed as a zombie without an adult life, Sonya, an irresponsible twenty-three-year-old daughter, keeps Cecily awake at night, worrying. Tony opens a letter from Tatiana, someone he knew twenty-five years in the past. The still-young Brazilian emerges from the envelope and takes possession of him. Tony mistrusts his passion and believes he is imprisoned by adolescent sexuality. An odyssey to new places and old friends takes Tony and Cecily first to Belize where they encounter an upside-down hill. During a driving rainstorm on Scotland’s Isle of Skye, Tony reveals his skin-hunger to Cecily. Retired in Texas, he is trampled by a naked woman on a horse and finally learns how to live for love.
