As with many developing countries, Ghana relies heavily on the extraction of its renewable natural resources such as forests, wildlife, soil and water to meet its economic growth and other social development objectives. As a result, the pressure on these natural systems is enormous and has led to serious resource degradation in many areas of the country. Through theoretical concepts, applied research and case studies, this book examines the biophysical, social and economic dimensions of renewable natural resources management in Ghana.
