Noel Crowley, Esq., a very good friend from their secondary school days at Salisbury School in Connecticut, once wrote, "...if left up to me, Tom Harris would be president of the world." Tom became his protector from the bullies during their 1943-45 tenure. Tom, friend to the lonely and the lowly, fights injustice with his heart. His caring shelters from the harshness of what is, and propels toward the possibilities of what can be in the realm of love preserved. He makes you want to do better and be better, not only for a moment, but for always. His authorship of over 2,000 poems examines the beauty and brevity of life and all that's in between as extolled in his poem, "A Song for Two Seasons": "The yard is filling up with snow / Where not too many months ago / I rested deep in sun-warmed grass / And watched a lazy summer pass."
