The Lady in the Mirror and Other Soul Sketches

Leona Wellington's first soul sketch happened after her mother died. While drawing an imaginary face, her mother's essential nature of joy, beauty, innocence, and exuberance attached itself to the sketch and provided a message so powerful that it healed old wounds by showing the truth about her mother's real self. Leona needed to let go of mistaken perceptions and keep only the truth, a gift from the other side, to expand her intuitive perception. Sketches began accumulating, and her husband urged her to compile them into a book to share around the world. It is a metaphorical collection of portraits with one common quest: self-fulfillment and the answer to life's big questions, explored through different sections: Visions; Situations and Solutions and Inward Journey. These provide inspiration, healing, and spiritual fulfillment, respectively. It takes place in all parts of the world and all times in history. Its characters are the man, woman, or child on the street, and each one is the person we see in the Mirror; the person we forget to thank for all our gifts; the person who offers Truth, we often refuse to see, and shows Beauty we often refuse to be. About the Author From Alamosa, Colorado, Leona Wellington is a wife, mother, artist, teacher, and entrepreneur who champions human rights, ecology, and the need to be the best you can be.
