After an evening of reminiscing with her children, the captured memories result in a journey through the past. Confused at how she arrives in the small, Pennsylvania coal mining town, her answer begins while sitting on the front porch swing with her Grandpap. As he narrates history from a miners perspective, and she recollects life as a child in that coal mining town, her Grandpap makes her a promise. Historical facts and vivid memories unite to teach her simple, yet important, life lessons that could only have been gained by remembering her ancestors.
