Description
Till recently, ancient Indian history was mainly Harappa-Mohenjodaro centric because of the British originated theory of Aryan Invasion that has now been firmly established as a hoax by archaeologists and other scholars. Ancient Indian history actually started in the south of India that included the now submerged Kumari continent south of Cape Comorin, Known to the west as Lemuria. Between 9000 BCE and 1500 BCE there have been at least four major oceanic convulsions that caused the submergence of parts of this continent and ancient Tamil literature gives ample references to the three Tamil Sangams moving first from then (south) Madurai, to Kapadapuram and on to the present Madurai. It also refers to the rivers Pahruli and Kumari in the submerged areas in their poems. The Bhavishya Purana gives details of this area where Mt. Meru of the seven mountains existed with the seven rivers that included Pahruli and Kumari. In fact, the Cape Comorin is named after this river Kumari. These and many other interesting facts can be found in this book.
