The Modern State and Its Study: New Administrative Sciences in a Changing Europe and United States

What is the relation between changes in states and the practice of public administration on the one hand, and developments in the sciences of administration on the other? This work addresses this question by surveying the development of and examining administrative sciences in Europe and the US.
