Marriage of the Rain Goddess: A South African Myth

Illustrated in colour by Clifford Alexander Parms, a version of a Zulu myth about the rain goddess Mbaba Mwana Waresa who longs to share her happy outlook on the world below. No god appears suitable so she looks amongst the humans for a partner, finding love in the form of a young cattle herder.
