An Island Odyssey: Among the Scottish Isles in the Wake of Martin Martin

Hamish Haswell-Smith follows on from his best-selling "The Scottish Islands" with this new work, "An Island Odyssey". And odyssey it is. It is a year-long voyage through the Scottish islands presenting an island a week - 52 in all. Each is coupled with artist Haswell-Smith's full-page, watercolour illustration of the island as well as its history, legends, local characters, and landscape and is interspersed with personal and sailing anecdotes, as well as a small key map and occasional margin pencil-line sketches.
