In the five demonstrations that make up the book, Fiona shows you blooms in a range of contexts from single varieties to colour and group studies. However, as well as demonstrating composition and representation, Fiona will also show you how to use washes, shading and granulation to great effect in both foregrounds and backgrounds.

As an introduction to flower painting, the single-type approach has much to recommend it. However, Fiona also offers what turns out to be a great deal of technical advice that has wider application, making this a worthwhile investment for any artist.
