Decentering America (Explorations in Culture and International History)

This book introduces academics, students and political analysts to some of the latest trends in the study and state of culture and international history: modernity, NGOs, internationalism, cultural violence, the "Romance of Resistance," and the culture of diplomacy. Each subsection includes two case studies dedicated to the respective approach, which while not necessarily dealing with the same topic or time frame, employ a similar methodological interest.
