Likely Stories

Description

Likely Stories is a collection of short pieces of fiction written between 2004 and the present date. The approaches used in some of the pieces, such as Fresh as a Daisy, involve the conjuring up of imagined situations which represent a feeling or an idea. In others, for instance The Necklace, there is a build up to the revelation of a final event which sums up the rest of the story, drawing it to a focal point, often with results that are as disturbing as they are laughable.

Much of the work in this collection aims to shock, and to contravene the accepted codes and standards in British society, but mostly it aims simply to entertain, and above all stimulate thought.

About the Author

T. F. Beato was born on the 20th of October, 1981, and grew up and lives in London.

He was educated at the University of Sussex to the level of BA Social Anthropology.

After this he went on to work in several different jobs, and is currently employed as a translator.

He has travelled extensively around Europe, America and Asia.

He is involved in several very active groups dedicated to creating various sorts of art and socio-political activities.
