Masthead Lookout

Masthead Lookout?is a journal of personal experiences, written by Geoff Shelton whilst he was serving in the Royal Navy. He journeys as far afield as the Arctic and Crete during his stint in the Navy between 1943 and 1947. Geoff Shelton starts out on HMS Corinthian at first, and his experiences of Navy life in the positions in which he worked have been detailed here. A real insight into life on the seas is portrayed, and this book is a must-read for anyone with an interest in sailing, the Navy and seeing the world by ship.
