This book describes the nature, organization and funding of educational research in nine countries across Eastern and Western Europe, and explores how research is used to inform both policy and practice. Comparisons are made and lessons drawn from the experiences of different research communities, and the merits of greater European research collaboration are highlighted. The author has also published other books; these include "Exploring Teachers' Thinking", "Teachers' Professional Learning", and "Conceptualizing Reflection in Teacher Development".
