Unravelling the Ribbon is a moving, frequently hilarious Irish play for three women about the daily reality of breast cancer. Rosie, in her mid-thirties, with two kids and married to a farmer, discovers a lump in her breast. The things that happen then—chemotherapy, mastectomy, radiotherapy—are narrated with gripping immediacy.
