The Story of the Liturgy in Ireland

The author says: `I have called this work The Story of the Liturgy in Ireland because my aim was to tell the story rather than write an academic history. At the same time, I am confident that the telling of the story is accurate. I have tried to give an idea of what the liturgy in Ireland was like during each period, without going into too much detail or pursuing all possible lines of enquiry. I have also limited myself to telling the story from the perspective of the Roman Catholic tradition, as this is the tradition to which I belong and with which I am familiar.'
