The new MRCGP Handbook for General Practice

This book details then new MRCGP examination which is compulsory for all GP registrars seeking licence to work as general practitioners. This book includes the assessment in detail, and contains a detailed description of the three modules: the applied knowledge test, the workplace based assessment, and the clinical skills assessment. The book also covers a background to the new asessment and the principles of its development to help candidates understand why it is there and what it aims to test; advice on how best to prepare for the assessment, including advice on reading, experimental techniques to maximise learning from everyday contact with patients, GP trainer and peers; and advice on how to maximise performance within the assessment itself.
